The Bloomingtones are an Old Time/Bluegrass acoustic string band based in Bloomington, Indiana. They play a wide range of country music from bluegrass and old-time standards to contemporary compositions and originals. They formed in August of 2000 in Bloomington and have since been busy playing in and around Monroe County. The members of the band come from a wide range of musical backgrounds, making the band a unique mix of musicians who have honed their musical talents in traditional rural settings and musicians who have extensive experience in the music industry.
